Fashion Doll Collection

⛤ Bratz

I had Barbies, but Bratz was where my heart was for a long time. I adored their cartoony style and their absolutely SLAY fashion sense. There were just so many sublines and I was addicted to collecting these lil ladies.

Gotta say, I'm so glad we're past the era of slutshaming these dolls. I used to be ashamed that I loved these dolls, but now? Now all y'all know how iconic they are, and I need to grab that fucking Mean Girls variant already.

⛤ LOL Surprise

I slept on these guys at first, but recently I have started collecting them, namely the tiny itty bitty tots because they're cheap and super cute. Even if they spit at me. I've also been trying to grab the OMGs whenever I get a chance because they are just. The embodiment of the word "slay" itself.

⛤ Magic Mixies

Well, I got two of the little girls now, time to give them a section of their own! I don't have any of the original Mixies or Mixlings but I got a few Pixlings and they're not only fun (and messy) to unlock, their faces are straight up gorgeous. Holy shit the face paint! And their designs overall are cute!! I have yet to get the Mixies or Mixlings but one day...One day I will acquire them.

As for the little "rituals" you do to open them, they're a liiiittle annoying I'd imagine for hardcore collectors of the brand, but I personally find it fun! Even if it makes a giant mess. I'm a witch, it's in my blood.

Only problem is, when I took a photo of the package, I found out it had a "from YouTube Kids" tag on it and I instantly died of embarassment.

⛤ Monster High G1

Bratz (and Yummiland and a few other dolls) carried my soul in the 2000s. The second 2010 hit and I saw a Monster High commercial, these ghoulies were my heart and soul! They are literally the reason for like, half of my aesthetic! They're nonhuman, they're gothic, they were insanely diverse, and the only reason I don't have more is because I'd probably have to sell a kidney for it, and I ain't selling kidneys for nothing.

⛤ Monster High G3

G2 was dreadful. I literally had only two to customize (then couldn't customize due to space and shit going on at that time), and I heard they were making big changes with G3 so I was nervous. And then I laid my eyes on the new Draculaura and saw that her body looked a lot like mine. I instantly took her home and while G3 MH hasn't been a major priority, do remind me to grab them!! They're adorable and feel like G2's more cutesy booboo bear vibes actually done right. Yeah they ain't as out and out gothic, but they're damn adorable!)

⛤ Novi Stars

I had only two of these gnarp gnaps, and I have no idea where the fuck one of them went, OH NO! But they were so dope, man, I love that sci-fi alien shit!!

⛤ Shopkins Shoppies

When Shopkins first came out, I was well into my "I'M A GROWNUP AND I DON'T NEED BABY TOYS" phase, making exceptions for Monster High and even then, I stopped buying those. But I did cave and snatch a few of the Shoppies. I love the Shoppies in particular because they are so fucking adorable!! Their faces are the cutest widdle things and I love how flashy and bright they are. I love the theming! I wanna collect all of them and I am kicking my younger self for trying to be an adult over it lol.

Also, I'm kinda curious about the Kindi Kids. They're kinda weird looking as preschoolers but they seem much bigger and I do admit, the idea of being able to cradle one of them sounds real cute.

⛤ Yummi-Land

Bratz was my main 2000s doll line, but Yummi-Land was damn close to being my main favorite. For y'all unfamiliar, I am speaking of the original iteration from 2006-2008. They're all themed after soda, milkshakes, ice creams, smoothies, sundaes, sno cones and even flowers, and smelled just like them! I'd bring them everywhere with me and smell them all the time.

There is a recent reboot with the name but they have fuck-all to do with the originals and I'm kinda torn. I mean, they're cute and they have a like, make your own lipstick gimmick to them, but then I keep seeing the LOL Surprise envy in them.

⛤ Nendoroid Collection

Look at the little guys! While I don't collect as many as I used to, Nendoroids were crack cocaine to me as a weeb who wanted figures of their anime blorbos but didn't have enough for a full on figma. Most of these I would've gotten as a tween to teen, though there are more recent ones here and there!

⛤ Death Note

Death Note is an anime and manga that holds a special place in my heart, and I still love it even now. So, unsurprisingly, 12 year old me just needed them in tiny form!! And adult me got a NEW L in tiny form.

⛤ Puella Magi Madoka Magica

Another anime that was adored by me at 12, this anime took my cold, dead heart and destroyed it, so naturally I needed Nendoroids of the girls. (Healing). I still need to get more!

⛤ Vocaloid

As any weeb in the early 10s would, I loved Vocaloid and am still very fond of them, so naturally I had a few Vocaloid Nendoroids!

So. Many. Plushies. If there's one thing I will always collect, its plushies. I love dolls, I love my Nendoroids but plushies are something I absolutely cannot live without. They're just. So soft. And plushie.

I never had any BABs growing up, but I would play the flash games all the time, see commercials and dream of going there in real life. I even had Lil Luvables and wondered if this is what the store is like. I finally went to the store IRL in 2016 and started collecting them on and off. And then Pearl told me I could just order them online. Suddenly, I have a big ass collection of these bears!

Currently, I'm done collecting newly released BABs due to their drop in quality and price, but I'm still grabbing secondhand ones. Unless I can get that fucking Pumpkin Kitty in full size. Or Choco Cat.

⛤ IKEA Plushes

Who knew a furniture store had so many big boys to grab? I hunger for more. And they're definitely cheaper than my other big boys! Also shit! Remind me to get Blahaj!

This one is an interesting one here cuz it technically wasn't just me collecting them, it was also my mom collecting them since she loved them. So even as I was trying to go "No, I want BIG KID THINGS", I'd realize. FUCK. I NEED WEIRD PLASTIC RAGDOLLS. And now I got a box full of 'em!
